I will send you the links to your requested projects when I send the book to you. You have a choice, however, of receiving the projects as black and white copies instead of the links if you prefer. If you want this option then let me know in an email. When you order the book you also get your choice of two sets of plans that were not included in the book.

    The Ultimate Band Saw Book

What makes band saw boxes so wonderful? They don’t require a shop full of expensive tools, they have unlimited design potential, and they’re easy to make. For years, woodworker Donna Menke has researched every aspect of the process, accumulating a wealth of knowledge about band-saw use, safety precautions, construction, and finishing techniques. Here, she passes on those ideas and skills, explaining all the basics of selecting and handling the wood, cutting, sanding, fitting edges, gluing, making repairs, and giving the box a gorgeous surface treatment, such as carving or inlay. The breathtaking projects begin with an easy, no-fail Bangle Box, and include a mahogany Star Box, a Man in the Moon box with a segmented lid, and many others.

When you order the book you also get your choice of two sets of plans that were not included in the book.

The Domino Box
The *Domino Box* is a simple rectangular form. It is made with through cuts similar to the first box in the book. Assembly techniques result in a snug fitting lid every time. Assembly techniques result in a snug fitting lid every time. I will show you how to safely *chamfer* the edges of the box using just the belt sander. $2.00 If purchasing plans only (no book), click here.

The Hearts Box
The *Hearts Boxes* are one of my favorite designs. These *nested boxes* require precision and accuracy if you are to get three boxes out of one piece of wood, but the results are worth the effort. Instructions on repairing defects in wood, cutting curves in lids safely, and *flocking*.

The Hurricane
The *Hurricane Box* is a canister shaped box with a nicely fitting lid. You need to do something extra to *make lids fit well* on rounded forms, and two ways are discussed. Everyone will think you made this box using a lathe, but you just need a band saw and a sander

The Log Box
The Log Box* is a simple box made from a hunk of log. The only complexity is the locking mechanism. For this simple *puzzle box* you will need a 1/16" band saw blade, or make a shorter box and use a scroll saw to cut the key.

The Peanut Box
The *Peanut Box* is shaped to look a lot like a peanut. The shape was achieved using power sanders like the belt sander. The surface has been textured to resemble the peanut shell. *Texturing* with a shallow carving gouge is detailed in the step-by-step instruction.

The Pinwheel Box
The *Pinwheel Box* is too clever for words- and it took a lot of words to describe how to make it. You can make the lid with the grain going in just one direction and it is easy. To make the pattern converge with all three pieces takes a little more thought. OK, a lot more thought. *Pivoting hinges* are covered with this box.

The Shaker Box
The *Shaker Box* has a handle and a divided interior. It is an elegant box that needs a little fancy *cross-clamping* technique to make gluing easier. There are a few tricks to making the lid fit well and to make the parts meet during glue-up.

The Snail Box
The *Snail Box* is made like the Armadillo Box, but the shaping is a lot simpler. These *drawered* *critter boxes* are a lot of fun to make, especially for carvers. You don't have to paint it psychedelic as I did here, but I give instructions for painting and texturing techniques.
